TAUPE DROP

The Taupe Drop is a lounge chair with an enveloping shell structure, upholstered in taupe-khaki leather (or faux leather), whose pointed back recalls an inverted drop. With no visible base, the side panels of the cover run down to the floor to form the foot. The pointed back is a V-shaped cut that structures the piece visually and marks the lumbar hold. The side panels extend to the floor and take the place of legs, with no visible metal or wood structure. The taupe-khaki leather cover is smooth, with no topstitching on the seat and discreet seams on the flanks, while the dished, curved seat follows the lower back and reads clearly from the front. A compact volume with no distinct armrests lets the side panels play that role at a low height.
